I have a bachelor's degree in biology from the University of Rochester and have successfully completed a rigorous pre-medical curriculum (includes coursework in General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Physics). In addition, I completed the Math and Science Institute program at PBSC and graduated from PBSC with a 3.7 GPA with Honors.. I've tutored college students in mathematics at Palm Beach State College for over a year and found it very rewarding. I have experience in tutoring ACT Math, ACT Science, SAT Math, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, and Calculus I. My tutoring approach is effective as I strive to develop a solid personal relationship with the student. My first step is to assess the student's strengths and weaknesses and evaluate his or her attitudes toward learning and school. Second, I develop a personalized plan tailored to the student's needs. Third, I provide excellent instruction in mathematics and test prep strategies. I know what it takes to perform well on standardized tests and would like to share my knowledge with students. I measure the progress the student is making each and every session. With my approach, students can expect to see improvements in the class as well as on standardized exams.
